The developer says the old launch option is no longer required for the corrected Windows issue. Do not add it as a compulsory step for every updated Windows installation. [1]
The reported Crossover check
In the October 16 Reddit thread, ThomasHeart described missing ground and floor textures on an M4 Pro MacBook Pro running Crossover. After another user suggested the following Steam launch option, the original poster reported that the game ran properly. The thread does not give a precise Crossover version or a repeatable benchmark. [2]
- Close the game and copy your existing Steam launch options somewhere you can restore them.
- Open the game's Properties → General → Launch Options.
- Add
-msTessOnce 0without deleting an existing option that your setup needs. - Relaunch and compare the same missing-ground location.
- If it does not help, close the game and remove the added option to return to your previous configuration.
This is a reversible way to try that reported workaround. We have not tested Crossover or established that it resolves missing textures on other Macs. [2]
Still invisible after updating?
Record your platform, GPU, exact game build, location and whether the ground is transparent or completely absent. Add which launch options are present. That is more useful than simply reporting that the game looks wrong.
